Digital photo frames display digital photos, and their popularity is evident by the huge variety of such products now on the market. Recently, models with network functionality, such as Bluetooth or wireless LAN connectivity, have appeared. A digital photo frame with Bluetooth connectivity makes it easy to transfer photos wirelessly from digital cameras, mobile phones, and PCs, and the extra convenience that these products deliver is driving sales.
To facilitate new designs for digital photo frame applications, Renesas Electronics offers the 78K0/Kx2-L and R8C/3x Series of MCUs. We also supply peripheral devices such as USB controllers. The CB-40, 55, and 90 Series are recommended for the image processing component.

The TK-78K0/KC2L is a starter kit for 78K0/Kx2-L microcontrollers. This kit has the 78K0/KC2-L microcontroller mounted on the board and supports application program downloading and real-time execution. User hardware parts such as digital I/O and analog signals can be connected to the board.
